Nature house in Dwingeloo

Welcome to Drenthe. Our charming nature house is located a 10-minute bike ride from the quaint village of Dwingeloo, with its central green. This 50-square-meter nature house is part of the small-scale Zonnetij vacation park and is just 142 steps from the forest. The vacation home, which sleeps 4–6 people, has two bedrooms: one with a comfortable double box-spring bed and the other with a double bunk bed. The loft in the living room offers 2 additional sleeping spots. The cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, a neat shower/toilet area, and a cozy wood stove for the cold winter months. The detached house stands on a spacious 700 m² lot. The garden offers an unobstructed view of the adjacent meadow and is situated next to an open grassy area where children can play freely. The garden features a covered patio with a cozy wood stove and pizza oven. During the day, you can enjoy the many birds that visit the garden. In the evening, you can lose yourself in the spectacular sunsets and starry skies.

Cyclists and hikers will find plenty to enjoy in Dwingelerveld National Park. Horse lovers can go on guided trail rides starting from the vacation park. You can take pony riding lessons or set out on your own by renting a trail pony. The area offers many amenities, including an Albert Heijn supermarket, an ice cream shop, and several cozy restaurants and cafés. Dine at the Onder de Eiken restaurant and enjoy local specialties. Within walking distance of the house is the Bospub, where you can enjoy a pancake or a relaxing drink. For organic products, stop by Boer Sil. Children can enjoy the Beleefpark, which features a heated pool during the summer months. Take a dip in the dazzling Blauwe Meer (15 minutes by car) or visit the tropical water park in Assen. Take a day trip to Groningen, Leeuwarden, or Giethoorn; visit the hunebeds, Westerbork, or the historic village of Orvelte; or attend the Harvest Day in Dwingeloo on August 12. …In short, there’s something for everyone.
