The vacation home borders a beautiful flower meadow. Inside the home, you’ll find a game cabinet for some old-fashioned fun, Netflix for movie lovers, a fishing spot just 50 meters away, and a terrace where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a good glass of wine. The vacation home has Wi-Fi and fiber-optic internet. Don’t feel like cooking one day? No problem—there’s a buffet restaurant right across the street. In short, it’s the perfect recipe for a wonderfully relaxing stay.

The vacation home is located in Klijndijk, offering rural peace and quiet and surrounded by the beautiful, quintessentially Drenthe nature reserves, heathlands, and dolmens. To the north of the house lies the Zietakkerbosje, home to the world-famous (at least in Klijndijk) “Het ommetje Klijndijk.” For more strenuous walks, there are several large forests and heathlands within walking and biking distance. The area around Klijndijk offers many beautiful walking and biking routes through small, picturesque sandy villages and forests. On a summer day, there are plenty of swimming options to choose from in the area: the “Het Bosbad” outdoor pool in ‘t Haantje, 5 km away; the “De Leewal” outdoor pool in Exloo, 5 km away; the “De Kibbelkoele” natural lake, 6 km away; and several more within a 10-km radius. Emmen is just under 10 km away and offers several nice outdoor cafes and a variety of shopping options. A visit to the Wildlands Zoo in Emmen is also highly recommended. I
