Our forest cottage is a detached luxury cottage on private land with an attractive and modern living room with underfloor heating. Opening doors to the terrace with seating amidst the tranquility of nature. The garden is fenced to give little ones and dogs free rein. The open kitchen is equipped with various appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, gas hob and combination microwave oven. The complete kitchen is up to a challenge to prepare something tasty for company.There is a separate toilet next to the fine bathroom with toilet, shower and double sink. For small laundry there is the availability of a washer and dryer. We have 3 spacious bedrooms equipped with sleeping beds for up to 8 people. For the smallest there is the possibility for a camp bed and extra for teenagers we can put a tent in the garden or extra air beds on the ground. (Additional facilities report when renting). The beds are also suitable for couples.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located on a small vacation park among a mix of conifers, deciduous trees and shrubs. A spacious park with walking paths and is located in the middle of the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. There are several nearby amenities at the park such as a brasserie, camping store, laundromat, playground and petting zoo. The cottage is within walking distance of the popular and beloved Henschotermeer lake. A unique swimming or skating lake with play equipment for children. Access can be arranged through the website of the Henschotermeer. The beautiful village of Maarn can be reached on foot. In the immediate vicinity you will find many hiking, cycling and mountain biking trails, horseback riding opportunities, a beautiful golf course and restaurants. Close to cities like Utrecht and Amersfoort, or the small villages in between, all accessible by bike or car. Plenty of culture sniffing and browsing in the stores.
