Staying at the artistic/cultural B&B in my home is a fun adventure. Many people come here to unwind. Always send a message first! In the summer, it’s wonderful to enjoy the outdoors and have a delicious breakfast in the Rifu-Giotto. In the winter, you can enjoy breakfast by the cozy wood stove or in the large kitchen-dining area of my artistic/cultural B&B. A steep staircase leads upstairs to a private room with a table and a single bed. There’s a small sink there for brushing your teeth. In the spacious room next door, there’s a large sink and a double bed. Further up is the prettiest (mini) room with a view of my self-built cottage, the Rifu-Giotto. Kids are welcome to build a treehouse in the woods. I’ll cook for anyone who helps out in the garden. Great for hiking and biking. English, Dutch, or Italian language lessons are available, and/or you can enjoy a puppet show. What could be more fun than a puppet show or a language workshop when it’s raining? But nothing is mandatory If you’re interested, please chat with me to discuss availability, as the third bedroom isn’t always available.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located on the outskirts of a tiny village in a rural, wooded area between Roden and Paterswolde along the Jacobspad. It’s wonderful to go for a walk along the Peizerdiepje or to bike or hike in the wooded surroundings of the Mensinghebos in Roden (the old Stuw), the Noordsche Veld, and the Langeloër Dunes near Norg. To the north lie the fields of Peizermade, where you can enjoy a lovely bike ride to the city of Groningen. To the northwest lies the scenic area of Nietap and the Leekstermeer. A paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The guesthouse is located on the property of an artistic, creative, and inventive hostess. It offers a unique, cozy, and playful atmosphere. The small cottage is nestled in the grove next to the large garden of the main house. It’s peaceful here, and you’ll find yourself surrounded by birds and the sounds of the countryside. The fresco on the back wall, depicting Rifu-Giotto, is her own creation. Puppet shows are available upon request. For more information, please contact us via chat.

If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount. After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refunded
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refunded
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refunded
• on the day of arrival or later: no refund

- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
