Guests who stayed here find the surroundings fantastic for
Cycling Hiking

The golden spot is ideal when you want to enjoy nature and peace. The family house is located on the edge of estate Schoonheten. The residence has been completely renovated. The guesthouse is detached next to the original farmhouse and there is a spacious private garden. It is ideal for tasting the outdoors, enjoying the rising sun and the sunset with the beautiful evening glow over the meadow. There is room for 9 people and there is a crib. There are also 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. There is a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. An ideal place for nice long dinners and cooking together in the extensive kitchen. Hospitality is very important here, so where possible we will do our best to take your wishes into account. Around and near this estate there are various possibilities for fun activities for young and old. For mountain bikers, motorcyclists etc. it is the perfect place (bed linen is provided and the beds are made on arrival).

Nature and surroundings

There are several beautiful hiking trails in the area, varying in distance. 500 meters away is the Schoonhetens forest. Adjacent to the estate is Boetelerveld. This is 180 acres and is a natura 2000 area. With a little luck, the Scottish Highlanders can also be spotted here. Since July 2024 there are the blaarkop cows, this is a breed that the heathland area should preserve. In addition, the guesthouse is conveniently located in terms of park the Sallandse Heuvelrug, the Sprengenberg and Holterberg. From the hot tub there is a view of the Haarlerberg. Because of the dirt road and a bit through the forest, a nice little round around the residence can be walked in half an hour. A walk around the Schoonheten estate takes about an hour. Het Gouden Plekje is 20 minutes away by car from the Hanseatic city of Deventer and Zuthpen (40min.) and 30 minutes away from Zwolle. Upon request, bicycles can be arranged and rented.Salland/Overijssel,natural beauty and tranquility.

We were really lucky with the weather. We got plenty of use out of the hot tub.

We had a wonderful time at the Gouden Plekje. There was plenty of space in and around the house. Joke provided an extra crib and high chair. There were toys for the little ones and games for the adults.

Het Gouden Plekje definitely lives up to its name!

For my 80th birthday, I had the pleasure of spending a fantastic weekend here with my children and grandchildren. What a beautiful place to celebrate such a special birthday!

Upon arrival, we were greeted with an incredibly warm welcome—homemade cake, birthday flags, and a personalized card. Such a warm and thoughtful welcome made it feel very special right away.

The house is cozy, spacious, spotless, and fully equipped. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, and the kitchen is so well-equipped that you can easily cook for the whole family. The large open-concept kitchen and spacious sitting area were ideal for spending quality time together. Outside, there’s plenty of space, peace, and privacy. The many games and the hot tub made the celebration complete!

I look back on our unforgettable weekend with a very warm feeling.

A gem of a place to create cherished memories together. Highly recommended, any time of year!
