Stay in the former cow barn, with lush views of the food forest. The accommodation has an adventurous sleeping loft with a double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. (The stairs to the loft are steep and the ceiling is low.) We can add an extra mattress or crib and chair. The Hofstee has a bathroom, with shower, toilet and sink. The nature house also has a well-equipped kitchen. Our campfire place is at your disposal, for a small fee you can buy wood from us. You will stay at our food forest of over one hectare, where we are actively engaged in regenerative agriculture and nature restoration. So sometimes you will see us or volunteers working in the field. We are happy to give you a tour or tell you more about what we do here! Do you like nature, vegetable gardening or food forests yourself? Then of course you are welcome to join us or help out. Herbs and (game) harvest from you can use in consultation with us.
Nature and surroundings
Directly behind the nature house is a meadow of over an acre where we are in the process of creating a food forest. In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy hiking, cycling and water sports. At dusk you will sometimes encounter deer, but also badgers, foxes, hares and many bird species (including storks). Nearby are the Paterswoldsemeer and Zuidlaardermeer, but also the vibrant city center of Groningen with the necessary cultural facilities, such as the Forum or the Groninger Museum. Nature reserve the Onlanden can be reached by bike, where Natuurmonumenten has a farm with a tea garden and a watchtower (De Onlanderij). Also beautiful are the old estates such as De Braak and Lemferdinge, or - a little further - the forests around Norg, Glimmen and Roden. In the village of Eelde (about 1 km) there are plenty of stores for all basic needs (Jumbo, Lidl, AH, HEMA, Ekohuis, restaurants, etc).

Het is een heerlijke plek met behulpzame en aardige gastheer/gastvrouw. Ze waren goed bereikbaar bij vragen, maar laten je ook in alle rust genieten. Wij hebben genoten. Back to basic, midden in de natuur waardoor je weer terug komt bij de rust voor jezelf. Het is nog niet helemaal af, maar daar hebben wij geen minuut last van gehad! Aanrader!
Nature, peace & environment:Je zit midden in de rust, natuur en de ruimte. Je hebt alle privacy en je bent van alle basisgemakken voorzien. Wij hebben het ervaren als kamperen, maar dan met iets meer voorzieningen. Wij zijn helemaal tot rust gekomen!
