Nature and surroundings
Our nature house has a forest garden of over 1200m2 directly on the Buurserbeek, in the outlying area south of Haaksbergen. From the house and the garden you have an unobstructed view of / access to the Buurserbeek, the surrounding fields and woods. From the house you can walk or cycle to the many nature reserves in the area (e.g. Het Lankheet, Haaksbergerveen, Buurserzand, Witte Veen). Last summer the project to adapt the bank and course of the stream was completed. The Buurserbeek was given more room to expand and is allowed to meander again, also the bank became more natural. With the Buurser Pot, a small flat-bottomed boat, you can sail on the stream under the guidance of a guide. There are several ATB trails, hiking / biking trails in the immediate vicinity. And you can kayak (available at the house) or SUP on the creek.
