Special Overnight in Wodan, a Dodge ex-fireman's van, with a 2-person bed. A complete camping package, everything set up for you. Do you have time to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Inside you can sit in a train seat (table with benches), which can be converted and with the extra mattress into a 3rd sleeping place. in the small kitchen you can provide yourself with a cup of coffee or tea. At the rear of this sturdy bus opens an outdoor kitchen, with in one of the side doors a refrigerator box. Present everything you need to cook and consume a pot. Fine glasses and coffee cups, of course. The entire encampment is equipped with fire pit, with hatchet, hammock, picnic bench and chairs. With awning made of a former skutsje sail. And another outdoor kitchen. For sanitary facilities you can use that of the campsite. Wodan is this year with 5 Vintage cars in a forest area with each a spacious private spot.
Nature and surroundings
Rest and Enjoyment is a big thing here. Large forest with basic stays and spontaneous camping spots here and there. Lake Pingo with two natural springs. Rich in flora and fauna, from lilies, cattails to salamanders and frogs. It gives many a wilderness feeling and attracts people who like to recharge in nature. Workshops to get out of your head, wood-fired sauna, tasty breakfasts, food truck meals and spontaneous campfire music adorn the place. Internet up front in WiFiWoods.The Hondsrug, Unesco Geopark offers beautiful forests to explore, (swimming) lakes and atmospheric brink villages. Walking among the treetops, climbing park nearby. Canoe trips also give a wonderful different view of the area. For mountain bikers there are several routes in the area and of course hikers and cyclists are right at home here. If you want to mix your nature stay with some culture, you can head towards the Drents museum in Assen and you will also find plenty in Groningen.
