Nature house in Den Hoorn

The bathroom fixtures are old and a bit cluttered. The entire grounds aren't very well maintained. The lighting isn't great either, but the owner is nice and it's a lovely spot.

Sanitair is oud en wat rommelig. Hele terrein niet super onderhouden. Verlichting ook niet super, wel aardige eigenaar en mooi plekje.

A lovely spot, nestled among the trees. It’s close to the road, but you don’t notice it. It’s wonderfully quiet at night. Lots of birds and butterflies. Plenty of space around the teepee.

Mooi plekje, tussen de bomen. Weliswaar dicht bij de weg, maar daar heb je geen last van. 's Nachts heerlijk stil. Veel vogeltjes, vlinders. Genoeg ruimte rondom de tipi.

The hosts are friendly and helpful. The teepee tent is spacious—it even has four beds. We only needed two beds, so we stacked the other two on top of each other so we could easily walk around and sit inside. The lights and the built-in heater create a very relaxing and cozy atmosphere.
Outside the tent, there are picnic/beer tables, benches, and comfortable chairs. This really gives you your own little spot.
The outdoor kitchen is fully equipped, so you don’t need to bring any plates, cutlery, cookware, or pans.
The kitchen and bathroom facilities are outdated and run-down. Everything in the shower and toilet works, but there are some bugs.
The sun shines beautifully on the kitchen at the end of the day.

De verhuurders zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De tipi tent is ruim, er staan zelfs 4 bedden in. Wij hadden maar 2 bedden nodig, en hebben de andere twee opgestapeld zodat we ook binnen gemakkelijk ronden rondlopen en zitten. De lampjes en het ingebouwde kacheltje zorgen voor een hele ontspannen en gezellige sfeer.
Buiten de tent staan picknick/bier tafels, banken en fijne stoelen. Hierdoor heb je echt je eigen plekje.
De buitenkeuken is volledig uitgerust, je hoeft dus geen borden of bestek, kookgerei of pannen mee.
De keuken en het sanitair is verouderd en verwilderd. In de douche en toilet werkt alles, maar er zitten wel beestjes.
De zon staat heerlijk op de keuken aan het eind van de dag.

From the boat, it’s a short 15-minute walk to the campground. Situated along the dunes and far from other campgrounds and houses, it’s a very peaceful spot. The downside is that you have to bike a bit to get to the supermarket, the beach, or other attractions. On the rental e-bike, that wasn’t a problem.

Vanaf de boot is het een klein kwartiertje wandelen naar de camping. Gelegen langs duinen en ver van andere campings en huizen is het een hele rustige plek. Nadeel is wel dat je voor supermarkt, strand of andere bezienswaardigheden een stukje moet fietsen. Op de electrische huur fiets was dat geen probleem.

The teepee is located on a beautiful property. It has a small fridge, a heater, and there were four beds for us. The lights created a cozy atmosphere in the teepee! The bathroom/toilet and kitchen were a bit dated. It’s always nice when there’s already some coffee, tea, pepper, and salt available. Some soap to wash your hands with after using the restroom isn’t a luxury either.

De tipi tent ligt op een mooi erf. De tipi heeft een klein koelkastje, kacheltje en er waren voor ons 4 bedden. De lichtjes maakte de sfeer in de tipi gezellig! De badkamer/toilet en keuken waren wat gedateerd. Het is toch altijd fijn als er al wat koffie/thee peper/zout ligt. Ook wat zeep om je handen mee te wassen na een toilet bezoek is geen overbodige luxe.
