Come enjoy our country cottage and experience peace and space. We’re Joost and Lara, and we live with our daughters in beautiful Den Velde, along with our dogs, cat, chickens, and horses—a true haven for lovers of the outdoors. The nature house accommodates 2 to 4 people and has two bedrooms, both with a double bed. The bathroom is simple and equipped with a shower and toilet. In the kitchen, you’ll find an oven, a 6-burner gas stove, and a Nespresso machine with a milk frother. You’ll still have to wash dishes by hand, but that’s part of the charm. In the kitchen-living area, the wood stove provides warmth and ambiance; a basket of firewood will be waiting for you upon arrival. Outside, you can relax at the picnic table or by the fire pit. For extra relaxation, there’s a hot tub, and for some fun, a ping-pong table.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located in the beautiful Vecht Valley, near the town of Gramsbergen. The Pieterpad trail runs just 800 meters from the cottage. In Gramsbergen, you’ll find a charming brewery (De Mommeriete) as well as several restaurants. There’s also a supermarket and a train station. From our cottage, you can step right into nature. Discover the most beautiful trails along the Vecht River, follow sections of the Pieterpad, or take a leisurely stroll through the countryside. In the mood for a refreshing dip? Swimming in the Vecht River or the canal is a great option. There’s also a recreational lake in Hardenberg where you can have a wonderful time with the kids. Take the train to Zwolle and you’ll be in the city center within 35 minutes. Closer by are Ommen and Dalfsen, both charming little towns. If you head in the other direction, you’ll arrive in Coevorden, in the province of Drenthe. Or visit the lively food market in Emmen on Friday mornings. Shopping in Germany is also just around the corner.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:30 PM and 6:30 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
