Nature house in Rekem

What a lovely little cabin in the woods! It’s surrounded by a beautiful, spacious garden with lots of trees, shrubs, several seating areas, a barbecue, a sauna, a small stream, and a pond. The cottage itself is tastefully decorated with retro and vintage items, a nice, sturdy bed, and a great Smeg stove. It’s great that dogs are welcome; our dog had a wonderful vacation just like we did. The cottage is big enough to fit a large dog bed. We’d love to come back again!

(There’s no hair dryer, though, so it’s a good idea to bring your own—otherwise you’ll be sleeping on a wet pillow all night.)

Wat een heerlijk boshuisje! Er ligt een prachtige grote tuin omheen met veel bomen, struiken, meerdere zitjes, barbecue, sauna, een beekje en een vijver. Het huisje zelf is smaakvol ingericht met retro en vintage spullen, een lekker stevig bed en een goed Smeg fornuis. Fijn dat honden welkom zijn, onze hond had net als wij een heerlijke vakantie. Het huisje is groot genoeg om een grote hondenmand kwijt te kunnen. We komen graag nog eens terug!

(Er is alleen geen föhn dus handig om die zelf mee te nemen, anders slaap je de hele nacht op een nat kussen)

The cottage is located in a beautiful wooded area of the park, and you can walk straight into the forest. The Savelse Forest, the Hoge Kempen, and the Three-Country Point near Vaals are just a short drive away and great for hiking. The cottage and the garden itself offer plenty of privacy thanks to the many trees and vegetation. The garden is teeming with birds, and we’ve also spotted several squirrels in the park. In the woods, we saw a young deer.

Het huisje ligt in een mooi bosrijk deel van het park en je loopt zo het bos in. Het Savelse bos, De Hoge Kempen en het Drielandenpunt bij Vaals zijn niet ver rijden en mooi om te wandelen. Het huisje en de tuin zelf hebben veel privacy door de vele bomen en begroeiing. Het barst van de vogels in de tuin en we hebben ook meerdere eekhoorns in het park gezien. In het bos zagen we een jong hert.

Fantastic place to stay! From moment 1 you feel yourself free in the lovely garden with tall trees and various seating areas. Ideal location to relax in the sauna or just active hiking or sports nearby. We also really enjoyed Maastricht and Genk, nice places on very short distance. The atmosphere of the house, both inside and outside is top! We thought the bedrooms were a bit small for 4 people but that was not so bad. We can not think of any points of improvement!

Fantastische plek om te verblijven! Vanaf moment 1 voel je jezelf vrij in de heerlijke tuin met hoge bomen en diverse zitjes.
Ideale locatie om te relaxen in de sauna of juist actief te gaan wandelen of sporten in de buurt. Wij hebben ook erg genoten van Maastricht en Genk, leuke plaatsen op hele korte afstand.
De sfeer van het huisje, zowel binnen als buiten is top!
We dachten dat de slaapkamers wat klein waren voor 4 personen maar dat viel reuze mee. We kunnen geen verbeterpunten bedenken!

Enjoyed the cute sauna and the little stream at the back of the garden to cool off. Beautiful evenings by the fireplace. Absolutely recommended.

Genoten van de schattige sauna en het kleine beekje achterin de tuin om af te koelen. Mooie avonden bij het haardvuur. Absolute aanrader.

Beautiful personal and unique nature house in the forest in a very pleasant location, both close to Maastricht and to the beautiful nature.

Prachtig persoonlijk en uniek natuurhuisje in het bos op een hele prettige ligging, zowel dichtbij Maastricht als bij de prachtige natuur.
