Nature house in Wateren (Westerveld)

The luxury and sustainable vacation villa is located in the forest in the village of Wateren in the province of Drenthe. The nature house has a large forest garden (2,400 m²) bordering the Drents-Friese Wold. From the house you can walk and cycle straight into the nature reserve. All around you can hear birdsong everywhere and a deer regularly passes in the field next to the house. At night it is dark and quiet and you can admire the starry sky. The house is made entirely of wood which gives a very pleasant climate. It is furnished with care so that you immediately feel welcome. Inside you will find a luxury kitchen with Quooker, Nespresso coffee machine and wine cooler, record player & LPs, WiFi boxes, games, books and a huddle hanging net. Outside there is a spacious terrace with Bastard BBQ, sitting area, dining table, hammocks and swing. 3 bedrooms, including 1 on the ground floor, 3 bathrooms, box-spring beds (180x210 or 2x210), M-line mattresses, mosquito nets, black-out curtains and air conditioning. And beautiful views of the forest from every room.

The National Park Drents-Friese Wold is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. In the garden the nature experience begins with all kinds of birds and if you're lucky a squirrel will jump by or a deer in the meadow next to the house. From the house you walk or cycle straight into the forest, with direct access to numerous hiking and cycling routes through heaths, shifting dunes, forests and stream valleys. Popular walks are the Boswachterspad near Appelscha, the Aekingerzand, Doldersummerveld and the route along the Vledder Aa. Cyclists can use the junction network - rental bikes can be brought to your home and picked up again. Within easy reach are the Holtingerveld, the Fochteloërveen and the Dwingelderveld. The UNESCO Colonies of Weldadigheid are also within easy reach. There are several beautiful lookout towers in the area, such as the Bosberg Tower and the Seven. Whether you come for rest, nature, history or adventure: this area offers it all.
