In February 2023, we opened the doors of our brand new B&B, located in the picturesque village of Andijk. The name says it all, "An-the-dike". A 9 kilometer long ribbon village meandering along the IJsselmeerdijk between the VOC towns Enkhuizen and Medemblik. How nice it is to drink your morning coffee on the veranda with unobstructed views and surrounded by bird sounds. The green woodpecker can be heard and also regularly seen and in the evening the frogs provide background music. Within walking distance (850 m.) of the IJsselmeer, walk or bike along the West Frisian Circular Dike and admire the old cheese-cover farmhouses that are everywhere, beautiful old villages like Twisk and Oostwoud, as if time has stood still there.
