Discover Drenthe from a haystack hut! On farm De Wilpenhoeve there are 2 haystack huts. You have an unobstructed view over the fields, the birds are singing and you have a good chance of seeing pheasants, hares and deer. And you can collect your own eggs every morning! The cabins are adjacent to the animal pasture where our ponies and sheep walk and there is a playground. The cabins are suitable for 5 persons and have 1 double bed and 3 single beds. The beds are equipped with fitted sheets: you just bring a sleeping bag or comforter (also for rent). The cabin has a shower and toilet and you can cook on 2 electric stoves. There is also a filter coffee maker and kettle. Inside there is a table with 3 chairs and a bench and on the terrace there is a picnic table and a bench. You have your own fire pit, a campfire box can be rented from us. You can also rent a bbq. In the cabin there are games and reading books for young and old. And there are leaflets available for trips.

The cottage is located in the South East corner of Drenthe. A corner where nature is still undiscovered, plenty of space and tranquility and lots of history. Our farm is located between Coevorden and Schoonebeek. Coevorden is known as an old fortified town with its rich history and in Coevorden is the only castle in Drenthe! Schoonebeek is known as the village of oil where there are still jackhammers. Hiking and biking can be done right from the yard, there are many routes. There are also more than enough trips nearby. Think amusement park Slagharen, Wildlands, Plopsa Indoor Coevorden, the dolmens, bowling, (subtropical) swimming pools, beaches with natural pools, petting zoos, a sauna nearby, etc.
