A beautiful nature house, right on the river where you can swim, canoe, hike and enjoy nature in peace. The cottage is on our land but has plenty of privacy. We live here with our two sons aged 10 and 11, friendly dogs, cats and chickens. We moved to Portugal 3 years ago because we felt the need for simplicity, peace, nature and freedom. Happy to share our place with our guests!In the cottage you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay. The sleeping area is an open loft where there are 4 comfortable beds. The cottage has mosquito nets, a stove to make the cottage nice and warm and/or cozy. There is also a baby kit available and 2 high chairs. There are also board games, books, pencils and there is good Wifi. (Also hand and tea towels incl). For children there is plenty to do like swinging, go-karting, trampoline jumping, playing in the sandbox, canoeing and of course swimming!

The flora and fauna is very rich. Otters have been spotted and also birds of prey, the kingfisher and the black stork were seen. From the cottage you can make beautiful walks along authentic villages via well-marked routes. There is even a GR hiking trail. The cottage is located near Coja and Avo, cozy and lively towns with good restaurants, a doctor, dentist and ATM. 15 minutes away are the large supermarkets located (Tabua, Oliveira do Hospital, Arganil) The area is known for its beautiful river beaches, several of which are a short distance from our country. You can relax here under the tropical umbrellas with a cold drink. The Serra da Estrela natural park is located nearby. The highest mountain in Portugal is located here. You can also visit beautiful waterfalls nearby and of course the local and alternative markets where you can buy special handmade products. In short, plenty to experience!
