A beautiful nature house, right on the river where you can swim, canoe, hike and enjoy nature in peace. The cottage is on our land, but has plenty of privacy. We live here with our two sons aged 10 and 12, enthusiastic, friendly dogs, cats and chickens. We moved to Portugal 3 years ago because we felt the need for simplicity, peace, nature and freedom.     A really lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful spot by the river. You can just jump right in—it’s wonderful for swimming, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding. Our boys thought three nights were way too short—partly because of the company of the three sweet dogs, a few cats, and the chickens. Merel and Sven gave us a very warm welcome; we felt very welcome and at ease.
