Nature house in Lieveren

The nature house is an apartment in a farmhouse with all the necessary amenities. You’ll find this nature house on a large farmyard where you can also take a short stroll or relax by the fishing pond. From the terrace, you can look out over the pasture. The pellet stove adds extra ambiance to the apartment. You can cook in your own kitchen, which features a two-zone induction cooktop, an air fryer, and a set of stackable pans. There’s also a coffee maker. There are also two cutting boards and a large knife, beer glasses, wine glasses, dish soap, cleaning wipes, dish towels, and a kitchen towel. The shower and toilet area is small but fully equipped, including towels. The bedroom is cozy, with a small stool next to the bed for glasses, etc. The furniture is made of reclaimed wood with all the cracks and imperfections you’d expect. As a guest, you have your own back entrance. There’s also a covered area for bicycles.

The property is about one and a half hectares and consists of many trees and grass, as well as a large fishing pond surrounded by a wooded embankment, where you’re free to walk around. The pond is about 100 meters long, and roe deer come to drink from it every day. Occasionally, the pond turns green from all the pollen from the trees; this isn’t algae because the water is refreshed by springs. The patio is covered with crushed stone, as this is more environmentally friendly than tiles. In the summer, the apartment stays wonderfully cool thanks to the thatched roof. You can go for a walk or bike ride right from the property. Lieveren is a small, picturesque village just one and a half kilometers away. You’ll find a supermarket and nice restaurants in Roden or Norg, which are about five kilometers away. From Lieveren, you can reach Assen or Groningen in no time—a wonderful experience by bike, as you’ll cycle through the most charming villages in Drenthe.
