You’ll get a warm welcome when you arrive—in our case, from the owner, Gea—and the cottage is super cozy. Even when it’s cold outside, it’s warm and cozy inside. For me, as a bird lover, it’s absolutely wonderful because there are the most beautiful birds everywhere.

Erg vriendelijke ontvangst, zeer behulpzame eigenaren. Zij wonen achter het chalet, wat erg handig is als je vragen hebt. Kortom een knus chalet. Er loopt een weg achter het chalet, waar af en toe erg hard wordt gereden.

We had a wonderful week here. It was sweltering in the chalet, and Rob came right over to bring us a third fan. The chalet is located under the trees, so there’s plenty of shade. We really wanted to barbecue, and Rob and Gea let us borrow their grill. A bag of charcoal was already waiting for us. There are remote controls for everything, and it took us a while to figure them out. Unfortunately, there was no manual for the combination oven, and Rob didn’t know how it worked, so we couldn’t use it. We were woken up in the morning by the chirping of many little birds. After a sweltering and noisy weekend at the TT, it was nice to unwind in the evenings in a quiet setting. Judging by the photos, we thought the chalet was located on a campground, but that wasn’t the case, which allowed us to truly unwind. Rob mentioned that the chalet is getting brand-new wood paneling all around and that the bathroom is being renovated. The latter is a good idea, because the bathroom is very small. So we’re really curious to see what it will look like then.

We hebben hier een fijne week gehad. Het was smoorheet in het chaletje en Rob kwam gelijk een extra 3e ventilator brengen. Het chale staat onder de bomen, dus genoeg schaduwplekken. We wilden graag barbequen en deze konden we lenen van Rob en Gea. Een zak kolen stond al klaar. Er zijn overal afstandbedieningen voor en dat was even zoeken. Helaas was er geen handleiding voor de combi-oven en Rob wist niet hoe deze werkte, dus die konden we niet gebruiken. We werden smorgens gewekt door het gefluit van de vele vogeltjes. Na een superheet en lawaaiig weekend bij de TT, was het fijn om savonds bij te komen in een stille omgeving. Wij dachten, aan de fotos te zien, dat het chalet op een camping stond, maar dit was niet het geval, waardoor we heerlijk tot rust zijn gekomen. Rob vertelde dat het chalet helemaal nieuw hout rondom krijgt en dat de badkamer wordt aangepast. Dit laatste is een goed idee, want de badkamer is erg klein. We zijn dus erg benieuwd hoe het er dan zal uitzien.
