The house has a total of 3 apartments: two studios for two people on the first floor and one apartment on the ground floor. You could call the decor “vintage” ;)! You’ll be renting a studio with a kitchenette. The beds can be used separately or pushed together to form a comfortable double bed. The studio (approx. 20 m²) has its own small bathroom (en suite) with a toilet, shower, and sink. This studio also includes a kitchenette, fully equipped with a refrigerator, two hot plates, and pans, plates, etc. There’s a microwave in the hallway shared by both studios. Our target audience is nature lovers, those seeking peace and quiet, hikers, and cyclists. Maps and guidebooks are provided. You can step right out of the house into nature—and vice versa: from nature right into the house. That’s why we ask our guests to take off their shoes inside. Feel free to bring your own slippers if you’d like. We ask that you be considerate of other guests before 8:00 a.m. and after 10:00 p.m. Since it’s a wooden house, it can be a bit noisy. Hiking and biking maps are available. Those seeking peace and quiet are welcome!
Nature and surroundings
The guesthouse is located on the outskirts of the village of Swalmen in a beautiful nature reserve, the Swalm Valley, which is part of the Natura 2000 network. The large garden is a wonderful place to relax, whether by the Swalm River that borders the garden or in one of the many cozy seating areas in this green oasis. The village is 2 km away—a lovely walk. Longer walks, such as the Swalmbruch (15 km) or a loop around Asselt along the Meuse, as well as bike rides (follow the Meuse Route or other cycling network routes, for example), can all be started right from the guesthouse. Visits to cities such as Venlo and Roermond (nearby), as well as Maastricht, Heerlen, and Düsseldorf, are also an option.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
