You can relax in the spacious sunny garden with plenty of privacy. In the evening you can enjoy the silence and the stars by a campfire. Through your own entrance you enter the cottage. The room has a sitting area with a nice couch and chairs and a smart TV. There is an open kitchen with a dining area. Through the garden doors you can enter the terrace from the room. There is a bedroom on the ground floor with 2 single beds. Upstairs is another bedroom with a generous double bed. The cottage is fully insulated and heated by underfloor heating. The bedroom windows have mosquito nets. The cottage stands in a natural yard which is designed for sufficient privacy. Its location at the edge of the woods and away from the public road make this a wonderfully quiet place.

From the cottage you can walk in the adjacent woods and fields of IJhorst and Staphorst. Also nature reserve Het Reestdal has plenty of hiking opportunities. It is a varied environment with an alternation of forest, heathland, stream valley and small-scale cultural landscape. The immediate surroundings are also perfect for cycling tours. Cycle your own route via the junction system and discover the beautiful surroundings. There are also several mountain bike routes in the area. Such as through the Staphorster woods, within cycling distance. Cooling can be found nearby at the swimming pond 'Zwarte Dennen' or in the outdoor pool 'Heuveltjesbos'. Within 20 minutes you are at more beautiful nature reserves such as the Weerribben-Wieden, Dwingelderveld, Holtingerveld and Vechtdal. Nice villages and cozy towns are also in the area, for example Staphorst, Meppel, Echten, Zuidwolde, Havelte, Giethoorn and Ommen.
