The vacation rental is located in an old farmhouse built in 1862. It is decorated in country style with authentic country details such as the wooden trusses, a large country kitchen, the locked doors and the box bed. The house is very comfortable with underfloor heating, the fireplace stove and the spacious sunny terrace. There is also an adjacent large (playing) field bordered by forest. Here you can enjoy the sun, tranquility and natural surroundings. Dogs are also welcome. It has a complete kitchen with dishwasher, oven, Senseo and a spacious bathroom. There is also a unique double box bed with below is a spacious double bed (180 x 210) and in the attic two 1-person beds. Upon request, an additional 2 person room is available (for extra space (no extra charge)/extra persons (small extra charge)). Please send a message. If desired, you can reserve the wood-fired hot tub. The price is for 2 firings. One day extra heating costs 35,-. We also have horse stables.
Nature and surroundings
In the yard there are very old oak trees, fruit trees, an avenue of walnut trees and wooded banks. In these, many animals such as squirrels, green woodpeckers, barn owls, many species of butterflies and bees find a habitat. There are also sometimes even deer in the meadow! We strive for a natural environment and do as much as possible in harmony with the environment and nature. There is a flower meadow and therefore there are some wilder pieces in the yard. The farm (horse farm) with the vacation house is located in the middle of the National Park "The Drents-Friese Wold" is the second largest continuous forest area of the Netherlands. Only the Veluwe is larger. You wander from forest to sand drifts and from fens to heaths. The Drents-Friese Wold has an intricate network of hiking and cycling trails, also for mountain bikers. In addition, there are endless bridle paths. In the Drents-Friese Wold you can enjoy the vastness, the unrecognizable silence and it is still really dark.
