Nature house in Giethoorn

The campground has three hiking cabins, each of which can accommodate 4 people. These wooden cabins are situated in an ideal spot on the campground and make for a great place to stay during a hiking trip or a short vacation. It’s the perfect way to settle in Giethoorn, whether you’re traveling on foot, by bike, by boat or canoe, or by car. The hiker’s cabins are equipped with: a stove, bucket, dishpan, kettle, pillows, jerry can, broom, dustpan and dustbrush, and a small electric heater. We recommend that you bring: a pillowcase, fitted sheet, sleeping bag, pots, plates, cutlery, and kitchen utensils. (Dinnerware & kitchen utensils are also available for rent: €10 + €5 deposit) For the 5th person, please bring your own mattress. There is an additional charge of €5. A small tent next to the hiker’s cabin is permitted at the standard camping rate. Shower tokens are available at the front desk. The hiker’s cabins are pet-free. Bed linens and a blanket can be booked as an optional extra for €10 per set.

Welcome to Giethoorn, the “Green Venice.” Small canals, lakes, little bridges, thatched-roof farmhouses, and beautiful gardens define the village landscape of Giethoorn. This campground is nestled in the heart of this unique setting, bordering Lake Bovenwiede and Weerribben-Wieden National Park. It offers active recreation in a natural environment for all ages. There are many biking and hiking trails, as well as boating and canoeing routes to explore the area. Swimming, fishing, as well as windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and sailing are all available at this campground. From the campground, you can walk right along the village canal to the many restaurants, museums, and shops. The area surrounding Giethoorn is also special and definitely worth exploring. The campground is not accessible by car (due to small bridges). Parking: Take the exit for the village center—Bartuswarnersweg—and follow the signs to Camping d’Hof (P3 or P2). Luggage carts are available at the campground.
