Since early April 2023, we are the proud owners of this bungalow in the woods near Schoonoord. The layout of the bungalow is as follows: The living room is the central part of the bungalow. The living room with electric fireplace has a beautiful view of the garden. The bedrooms are 6 m² and 7 m². One bedroom has a sink. The largest bedroom has a double bed. In the other bedroom there are two single beds. A third room is used as a study and contains a washing machine. The bathroom with toilet is simple. There is a shower with thermostatic tap and a sink. The desire is to renew / enlarge the bathroom. We are in the process of adapting the cottage our wishes. The kitchen has been renovated. There are plans to renovate/enlarge the bathroom/bedrooms. Nevertheless, it can already be fully enjoyed! Two electric bicycles are optional to rent for € 50 per stay.
Nature and surroundings
Away from the crowd and in the middle of nature! Relax completely in our bungalow and discover the beautiful surroundings. Our bungalow is on a small park which is situated in the woods of Schoonoord. The park is located in the forest and shifting sand area Sleenerzand. On the Sleenerzand are extensive hiking and biking trails, swimming area the Kibbelkoele, a mountain bike trail of 32 km and Bosbad Noord-Sleen, an outdoor pool. A great base for an active vacation! In the vicinity are characteristic Drenthe villages. The village of Schoonoord is fully equipped including a supermarket, a butcher, a bakery and several (takeaway) restaurants. The cozy town of Emmen is 15 minutes drive from the park. Sociable shopping is thus among the possibilities. Or visit Wildlands zoo with attractions. There is plenty to do for young and old.
