Since early April 2023, we have been the proud owners of this bungalow in the woods near Schoonoord. The layout of the bungalow is as follows: The living room is the central part of the bungalow. The bedrooms measure 6 m² and 7 m². One bedroom has a sink. The larger bedroom has a double bed, while the other bedroom has two single beds. A third room is used as a home office and also houses the washing machine. The bathroom with toilet is simple. It has a shower with a thermostatic faucet and a sink. We plan to renovate and enlarge the bathroom. We are currently renovating the cottage to suit our needs. The kitchen has been renovated. There are plans to renovate and expand the bathroom and bedrooms. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it to the fullest right now!
Nature and surroundings
Away from the crowds and surrounded by nature! Relax completely in our bungalow and explore the beautiful surroundings. Our bungalow is located in a small-scale park nestled in the forests of Schoonoord. The park is situated in the Sleenerzand, an area of forests and shifting sand dunes. The Sleenerzand features extensive hiking and biking trails, the Kibbelkoele swimming spot, a 32-km mountain bike trail, and Bosbad Noord-Sleen, an outdoor swimming pool. The village of Schoonoord has everything you need, including a supermarket, a butcher, a bakery, and various (takeout) restaurants. Despite the barking dogs, we still had a nice stay.
