Nature house in Elst Ut

Your accommodation is literally on the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, still just on the sandy ground and you are about seven meters above the floodplains and the Lower Rhine. That gives a great wide view over land, beautiful cloudscapes, and on the silvery river there is always something happening. In the distance you can see the silhouette of the Cuneratoren in the town of Rhenen. Just enjoy that view! The sun invades your stay from early to late, a lovely light garden house, with lots of glass and two sliding doors. It has recently been completely refurbished and looks like new. A large living room with open kitchen, a bedroom at the cool back, shower and separate toilet, a very well taken care of. Outside you have two private terraces. Privacy assured. You have your own driveway from the road and your own parking space.

Hiking and biking! Just north of Elst are the forests of the national park De Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The highest 'mountain' is nearby: the Amerongse berg. Beautiful beech forests. A tavern nearby (Mas Montagne) provides your drink. Lovely hiking! Or mountain biking. From your stay you can see the Ingen-Elst ferry going up and down. And further along the Lower Rhine are ferry ferries at Amerongen and / or Wageningen. A very nice reason for a bike ride over the dikes and along the orchards of the Betuwe. You choose a route with the wind at your back through the Betuwe and return in the shelter of the wooded ridge. Bicycle maps are at the ready. Culture! Amerongen Castle is a must. You walk there through the floodplains in an hour. Beautiful ensemble with moat and gardens. Kröller Müller in Otterlo: good wine needs no wreath. Lots of van Gogh's, sculpture garden. City Museum of Rhenen, small and brave. Catering: Top restaurants at 10 minutes, and taverns everywhere.
