The name of the nature house came from our love of the IJssel River and our passion for bees. We keep a number of bee colonies and swing our own IJsselgoud honey.
Nature and surroundings
For bird lovers, we have two bird huts nearby. Both are close together are 2.4 km away from IJsselgoud. Also from there you can make a nice walk in the floodplains of the IJssel, around the inland Tichelgaten, marshes and meadows. You have a chance to see a kingfisher, spot various species of ducks and at the end of summer and in early autumn the osprey is sometimes seen here. The nature house is located in a rural setting. Behind the meadow, at the edge of the forest, roe deer walk regularly and the stork is an often seen guest. And, quite unusually, with us the bald eagle has also been spotted.
