Nature house in Schoorl

Basic but cozy cottage located directly on the Schoorl dunes on a property with 9 other cottages. The cottage is not large (45m2), but has everything for a pleasant stay. In front of the cottage is a south-facing terrace adjacent to a sheltered lawn with play equipment. The well-equipped kitchen with 4-burner stove, small oven, fridge freezer, Nespresso, blender and juicer is located at the front. The living-dining room has a round dining table and a 3-seater sofa, which can be converted into a lounge sofa or double bed. The gas stove heats the entire cottage in the spring and fall. There is a smart TV, wifi and high-speed internet. There is a modest bathroom with toilet and shower stall without sink. There are two bedrooms with a raised double bed (140x200) with a step and one bedroom with a wide bunk bed (120 x200). A camp bed can also be placed here. Behind the house is a barn. There is a bbq and in the garden are rosemary and grapevine.

The car cannot be parked on the property, which is only loading/unloading. In the immediate vicinity is paid parking but 5 min walking distance is a large free parking lot. From the grounds in front of the house you walk directly into the dunes. The Schoorl Dunes are the highest and widest dunes in the Netherlands. It is a unique area with over 60 km of hiking trails and many bike paths. Many birds breed here and along the way you may encounter Wagyu cows and the sand lizard. Around August everything turns purple because of the flowering heather. The beach of Schoorl is only accessible on foot or by bicycle, it is never really crowded. Hargen beach, on the other hand, has a large parking lot. The visitor center of the Forestry Commission is located 450 meters from the house. Many hiking trails start here. If you walk in the other direction, you are in no time in the center of Schoorl with cafes, restaurants, stores and the famous climbing dune. The beautiful places Bergen and Alkmaar are also within cycling distance.
