Nature house in Schoorl

A simple but cozy cottage located right next to the Schoorl Dunes on a property with 9 other cottages. The cottage isn’t large (45 m²), but it has everything you need for a pleasant stay. In front of the cottage is a south-facing patio, adjacent to a sheltered lawn with playground equipment. The well-equipped kitchen, featuring a 4-burner stovetop, small oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, Nespresso machine, hand blender, and juicer, is located at the front of the cottage. The living-dining room has a round dining table and a 3-seater sofa that can be converted into a lounge sofa or a double bed. The gas heater warms the entire cottage in the spring and fall. There is a smart TV, Wi-Fi, and high-speed internet. There is a modest bathroom with a toilet and shower stall, but no sink. There are two bedrooms, one with a raised double bed (140x200) with a step, and one with a wide bunk bed (120 x200). A camp bed can also be placed here. Behind the house is a shed. There is a barbecue, and the garden features rosemary and a grapevine.

You cannot park your car on the property; it is for loading and unloading only. Parking in the immediate vicinity is paid, but there is a large free parking lot just a 5-minute walk away. From the property in front of the house, you can walk straight into the dunes. The Schoorl Dunes are the tallest and widest dunes in the Netherlands. It’s a unique area with over 60 km of hiking trails and many bike paths. Many birds nest here, and along the way you may encounter Wagyu cows and sand lizards. Around August, everything turns purple due to the blooming heather. Schoorl Beach is accessible only on foot or by bike, and it’s never really crowded. Hargen Beach, on the other hand, has a spacious parking lot. The Staatsbosbeheer visitor center is located 450 meters from the house. Many hiking trails start here. If you walk in the other direction, you’ll quickly reach the center of Schoorl, with its cafes, restaurants, shops, and the famous climbing dune. The beautiful towns of Bergen and Alkmaar are also within biking distance.
