Between Haarlem and Amsterdam, along the waterway that connects these two cities, lies a hidden house in a field. The field has been undergoing reforestation for the past four years, and a food forest is in the works. The house is bright and features a wood stove (and infrared panels), a glass-enclosed area, an interior section with a large double box bed (bedroom 1) and a bathroom, and two extra beds on the semi-open loft (small bedroom 2; fairly steep stairs; see photo). Nature and surroundings
City, countryside, and beach! Haarlem is a 4-minute drive away. From behind the house, you can rent a boat to head out to the open water (De Mooie Nel) for a swim or to sail to Haarlem in 1.5 hours. It’s a 4-minute drive to Haarlem (3 km) and a 20-minute drive to the beach (Bloemendaal is 12 km away). The dunes are magical around sunset. In the garden (2 hectares), there are several spots to sit outside.There are many birds, a hare, and sometimes the neighbor’s sheep keep an eye on you from the other side of the canal. Amsterdam is a 20-minute drive away (10 minutes by car to Halfweg and 10 minutes by train to Central Station). The village has a restaurant and shops, and in the summer, vegetables and herbs from the garden are available. If you love a combination of nature and city life, this is the place for you!

There is a good bed, the shower is nice and there is a small induction stove that you can cook some food on.The garden is nice and you can sit outside when the weather is nice.What there is not is wifi, which in itself may not be a problem, but I would have liked to have known that before booking this Nature House because I had booked this house as a working vacation and needed wifi for that anyway.There were also some other practical things missing, which skewed the value for money of the stay as far as I was concerned.
Er is een goed bed, de douche is fijn en er is een klein inductieplaatje waar je wat eten op kan klaarmaken.
De tuin is mooi en je kunt lekker buiten zitten als het mooi weer is.
Wat er niet is is wifi, dat is op zich misschien niet erg, maar dat had ik graag voor het boeken van dit Natuurhuisje geweten omdat ik dit huisje als werkvakantie had geboekt en daar toch wel wifi voor nodig had.
