Unfortunately, this review is inaccurate: before arrival, we purchased and set up a new Senseo coffee maker. We also explained the television situation in advance over the phone, and a clear manual was provided. The TV works just fine, and there are two ways to watch TV: via streaming or by downloading the app.
It’s a shame that the guest was unable to get it to work, but we did everything we could in advance to explain this clearly.

Helaas klopt deze review niet: vóór aankomst hebben wij een nieuw Senseo-koffiezetapparaat aangeschaft en klaargezet. Ook over de televisie is vooraf telefonisch uitleg gegeven en er lag een duidelijke handleiding klaar. De televisie werkt gewoon goed en er zijn twee manieren om tv te kijken: via streamen of door de app te downloaden.
Het is jammer dat het mevrouw niet gelukt is, maar wij hebben vooraf alles gedaan om dit duidelijk uit te leggen.

Not everything was clean; there was very little cutlery, and some pot lids were broken.
The landlord had double-booked the property, which meant we had to cut our stay short by two days. I wanted financial compensation because this resulted in extra costs for us. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive that, although we were offered a free extension. But that didn’t fit into our schedule. There was a lot of back-and-forth emailing between the nature house, myself, and the landlord. I noticed that the nature house forwarded emails from the landlord to me that weren’t intended for me. That wasn’t very professional. My email to the nature house was also forwarded to the landlord, which wasn’t exactly tactful either. That said, your customer service was friendly. But it took a very long time. If you had just called the landlord—which I actually suggested—it would have been sorted out in one day. That would have saved me a lot of hassle. There was a welcome package, though, which helped ease the pain a bit.

De verhuurder had een dubbele boeking gemaakt, waardoor wij 2 dagen korter konden verblijven. Ik wilde graag een financiele compensatie, omdat dit ons extra kosten opleverde. Dat kregen we helaas niet, terwijl er wel een kosteloze verlenging werd aangeboden. Maar dat pastte niet in onze agenda. Er is veel over heen en weer gemaild, tussen natuurhuisje, mijzelf en verhuurder. Het viel mij op dat natuurhuisje emails doorstuurt van de verhuurder aan mij, die niet voor mij bestemd waren. Niet zo netjes. Ook mijn mail aan natuurhuisje is doorgezet naar de verhuurder, ook niet bepaald tactisch. Overigens was jullie klantenservice wel vriendelijk. Maar het duurde heel lang. Als jullie even met de verhuurder hadden gebeld, wat ik nog heb voorgesteld, was het in 1 dag geregeld. Dat had mij veel gedoe bespaard. Er was wel een welkomstpakket dat het leed iets verzachtte.

The cottage is fine, and the surroundings are beautiful. The beds are a bit hard.

Huisje is prima, mooie omgeving. Beetje harde bedden.

Wonderfully peaceful—a detached cottage—in beautiful surroundings. You can certainly go for a walk right from the cottage, but it’s nicer to drive a short distance first—for example, a 10-minute drive to De Zwarte Dennen in Staphorst, which has a lovely forest for walking and a really nice swimming lake with a small beach, restrooms, fries, and so on. Very relaxed and beautiful.

heerlijk rustig - vrij staand huisje - prachtig omgeving. Wandelen vanuit het huisje kan zeker, maar fijner is om eerst een stukje te rijden met de auto, bijvoorbeeld 10 minuten rijden naar De Zwarte Dennen in Staphorst met een mooi wandelbos en een heel fijne zwemplas met strandje en wc's en frietjes enzo. Heel relaxed en mooi.
