In the B&B, on the second floor is the room Bastard. A spacious, modern room with a box spring and a spacious bathroom with private rain shower, toilet and sink. There is also a sofa bed for a 3rd or 4th person if necessary. The room also has air conditioning.
Nature and surroundings
Spending the night in a War Memorial? You can in the atmospheric B & B located between many fruit orchards in the old fortified town of Wijk bij Duurstede. Rural and yet only 2 kilometers away you are already in the beautiful, historic center of Wijk bij Duurstede. The B & B is a characteristic building with a monumental gable stone at the front (War Memorial 1940-1945). The farm has a moat that still dates from the Middle Ages of Castle Vogelpoel. The part (formerly the stable) has been completely renovated and converted into a beautiful, rural Bed and Bread with 5 spacious rooms. These have a private bathroom with toilet, spacious box spring, kitchenette and a nice sitting area. Breakfast is served with local products. Enjoy this beautiful area near the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the Betuwe. For example, take the castles route or the blossom route. Hikers, cyclists, peace seekers, but also city lovers, there is something for everyone.
