Nature house in Tecklenburg

Welcome to the vacation apartment in the air and Kneipp spa town of Tecklenburg. You will be staying in a half-timbered house that is over 350 years old. This house was built around 1650 with a timber frame on 10 oak beams. The outer façade was filled in with half-timbering and brickwork, which was then plastered. The barn was built in 1955 for the use and keeping of livestock. The conversion and extension of the house from a detached house to a semi-detached house was approved in 2003 and carried out in 2004 and 2005. During this time, the house was given a new roof truss. The 6 dormers were installed and the courtyard was newly paved. 2008 the upper apartment was changed and renovated to a self-contained vacation apartment. Today the house has a total living space of approx. 231 m², the vacation apartment approx. 85 m². The property is 4105 m² and is mainly used by our 2 horses.

Tecklenburg is Germany's northernmost mountain town on the Teutoburg Forest ridge. The idyllic town with its lovingly restored half-timbered houses and romantic cobbled alleyways will take your mind back to the time when the Counts of Tecklenburg still resided here. Every year, the famous open-air plays take place in the castle ruins on Germany's largest open-air stage. An experience you will never forget. Since 2015, our town has been officially known as a festival town, and hikers and cyclists will find plenty to enjoy in the natural surroundings. The many walking routes and hiking trails invite you to enjoy a relaxing vacation. You can start the beautiful and varied cycling and hiking trails directly from the farm, from here you can reach the idyllic moated castle Haus Marck in just a few minutes via the beautiful Königstraße or you can go golfing right next door.
