Welcome to our former studio, lovingly renovated into a cozy and modern "gardeny house" with a touch of vintage. The cottage is secluded in the garden of the owner artist/teacher, adjacent to a quiet, cute walking path in the middle of the beautiful Hill Country of South Limburg. It offers enough space and privacy for 2 people. From your private garden terrace you have an unobstructed view over the meadows, with setting sun on the horizon, where the village center of Banholt lies. Here you can walk in 5 to 10 minutes, past the sheep and horses. For the colder days, the pellet stove is filled. You can also both heat and cool with the available silent split air conditioning. There is TV incl. Netflix. Bedding, towels, kitchen linens, hair dryer provided. The refrigerator has only a mini freezer compartment. Our enthusiastic puppy Sammy will want to greet you, but can't go on your terrace (unless you like it). The old cat flap is now the 'extraction flap'.
Nature and surroundings
The main house is located on a cul-de-sac in Terhorst, a small hamlet of Banholt. Around the corner you are directly in a quiet area. The area has endless walking and cycling routes and is ideally suited for lovers of peace and nature. The village has a supermarket, restaurant, café, chip shop. Parking in front of the door is free. Bicycles can be put inside and charged for free. In the village is also a bike rental. For a nice city trip a short drive away: Maastricht (15 minutes), Liege (25 minutes) and Aachen (40 minutes). You are also close to the border with the Voerstreek in Belgium. There is an OV bus stop in the adjacent village. Picking you up/dropping you there is possible, but depends on the days/times. Really nice Tiny house, nicely decorated, everything you need, nice beds, nice also that record player, lovely outdoor space with evening sun. The landlady is also very involved and friendly!
