Nature house in Beerze

We had a nice stay. The owners and their son are friendly and helpful. It’s a unique cottage with a really nice, spacious layout. The beds were comfortable. It was very quiet at night. The cottage has lots of little items and is pretty well-equipped. At the same time, that also made it feel a bit cluttered. There was a piano, which we thought was great, but it turned out to be completely out of tune. We got the impression that maintenance was needed toward the end of the season, particularly regarding the bathroom fixtures and the refrigerator. It would be good if more attention were paid to this, as it would improve comfort.
Finally, you become part of the family for a while and literally live right across from and next to each other. If you enjoy that, this is definitely the place for you. If that’s not your thing, you’re better off not booking this cottage.

Wij hebben een leuk verblijf gehad. De eigenaren en hun zoon zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het is een bijzonder huisje en echt een leuke, grote ruimte. Prima bedden. Heel stil ' s nachts. Het huisje heeft veel spulletjes en is vrij compleet. Tegelijk deed dat ook wat rommelig aan. Er stond een piano, dat vonden we superleuk, maar de piano bleek volledig ontstemd. We kregen het gevoel dat tegen het einde van het seizoen onderhoud nodig was, met name wat betreft sanitair en koelkast. Het zou goed zijn als hier meer aandacht voor was, dat verhoogt het comfort.
Tot slot; je maakt even onderdeel uit van de familie en woont letterlijk recht tegenover en naast elkaar. Als je dat fijn vindt is dit echt een plek voor jou. Als je dit minder kan waarderen dan boek je dit huisje liever niet.

Een huisje met een mooie ligging in Beerze. Je fietst, wandelt of rijdt zo naar allerlei mooie plaatsen.

Plenty of space, a large garden where the kids could play to their hearts' content.
A warm welcome, and Emmelieke was a very kind hostess.
A spacious house with all the amenities, plenty of dishes and towels.

Veel ruimte, grote tuin waar de kinderen heerlijk konden spelen.
Leuke ontvanst en Emmelieke erg aardige gastvrouw.
Ruim huis met alles erop en eraan, veel servies en handdoeken.

The owners were very friendly, and there was a basket of fresh eggs from their own chickens waiting for us.

We would have appreciated a little more privacy, though. The cottage is right across from the owners’ house, and the grandparents live in the other half of the cottage. The grandfather was often working in the garden and would sit right in front of our window.
We also had a picnic bench at our disposal but no nice (dining) table with chairs. We did miss that.
Furthermore, the playground and the fire pit were quite a walk away. That’s fine for older kids, but with little ones, it’s still nice to be able to see them from your cottage.

Hele vriendelijke eigenaren en er stond een mandje met verse eitjes van eigen kippen voor ons klaar.

Wij hadden alleen iets meer privacy wel prettig gevonden. Het huisje staat pal tegenover de woning van de eigenaren en de opa/oma wonen in de andere helft van het huisje. De opa was veel aan het werk in de tuin en zat dan precies bij ons voor het raam.
Ook hadden we een picknickbank tot onze beschikking en geen fijne (eet)tafel met stoelen. Dit hebben we wel gemist.
Verder was de speeltuin en de vuurplaats best een stukje lopen. Voor grote kinderen prima, maar met kleintjes is het toch prettig dat je er vanaf je huisje zicht op hebt.
