In the beautiful Vechtdal Overijssel you will find our beautifully restored farmhouse from 1576 (national monument). The farm is located on an old farmyard of over 20,000 m2. In the yard organic vegetables and fruit are grown. There are horses (riders can possibly stable their own horses with us!), sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. Children play in our forest, on the trampoline or swings and in the sandbox. In short: a place for people and children who want to embrace the real outdoors and discover the beautiful area!
Nature and surroundings
Beerze is a small and cute hamlet in the Vecht valley between Ommen and Hardenberg. Already in 900 there was a fortified port on the Vecht. The hamlet is characterized by many thatched Saxon farmhouses. It seems as if time has stood still here! Beerze is sandwiched between 2 Natura2000 areas, with on one side Beerze Estate and on the other river Vecht. Both beautiful and unspoiled. You can spend hours here wandering through forests and fields, on foot, by bike or on horseback. Along our yard run the Beerzepad and the Vechtdalpad and Hardenberg-Ommen (Pieterpad) is one kilometer. Our yard itself is a true animal paradise with so far 63 different bird species! In short: a wonderful place for people who love peace and nature.

Both toilet seats were very wobbly

Beautiful natural surroundings and plenty of space around the house.
The owners were very friendly, and there was a basket of fresh eggs from their own chickens waiting for us.
We would have appreciated a little more privacy, though. The cottage is right across from the owners’ house, and the grandparents live in the other half of the cottage. The grandfather was often working in the garden and would sit right in front of our window.
We also had a picnic bench at our disposal but no nice (dining) table with chairs. We did miss that.
Furthermore, the playground and the fire pit were quite a walk away. That’s fine for older kids, but with little ones, it’s still nice to be able to see them from your cottage.Mooie natuur en veel ruimte om het huis heen.
Hele vriendelijke eigenaren en er stond een mandje met verse eitjes van eigen kippen voor ons klaar.
Wij hadden alleen iets meer privacy wel prettig gevonden. Het huisje staat pal tegenover de woning van de eigenaren en de opa/oma wonen in de andere helft van het huisje. De opa was veel aan het werk in de tuin en zat dan precies bij ons voor het raam.
Ook hadden we een picknickbank tot onze beschikking en geen fijne (eet)tafel met stoelen. Dit hebben we wel gemist.
Verder was de speeltuin en de vuurplaats best een stukje lopen. Voor grote kinderen prima, maar met kleintjes is het toch prettig dat je er vanaf je huisje zicht op hebt.Beautiful surroundings
