I thought it was a nice little cottage. I enjoyed it. As far as I'm concerned, there was a bit too much chlorine in the hot tub, though. But other than that, it was great.

I would have loved to give this a 10, but unfortunately I can’t go higher than a 5. The reason for this is the heat in the house. We were unlucky that it was hot—the outside temperature was 33 degrees, the inside temperature in the cottage was 30 degrees, and upstairs in the bedroom it was over 37 degrees and very stuffy. We barely slept the first night because of the heat. On the second day, the outside temperature was high again, and the problem was that we couldn’t cool off. The hot tub (cold tub) was 35 degrees; you couldn’t cool off in it anymore. You can’t adjust the temperature of the outdoor shower—it only provides hot water—so you couldn’t cool off there either. We didn’t use the bathtub upstairs because you’re completely overwhelmed by the heat up there. My wife felt so bad (overcome by the heat) that we decided on the second day to go home, even knowing that temperatures of 39 degrees were forecast for the next two days and that a red alert had been issued due to the heat.

Ik had hier graag een 10 gegeven maar helaas kom ik niet hoger dan een 5. De reden hiervoor is de warmte in het huis. We hadden de pech dat het warm was, buitentemperatuur van 33 graden, de binnen temperatuur in het huisje was 30 graden en boven in de slaapkamer was het meer dan 37 graden en zeer benauwd. De eerste nacht bijna niet geslapen van de hitte. De 2e dag weer hoge buitentemperatuur en het probleem was dat we niet konden afkoelen. De hottub (coldtub) was 35 graden, hierin kon je niet meer afkoelen, de buitendouche kun je de temperatuur niet van regelen, deze geeft alleen warm water en dus kon je hier ook niet afkoelen, het ligbad boven niet gebruikt omdat je boven totaal bevangen wordt door de hitte. Mijn vrouw voelde zich zodanig slecht (bevangen door de hitte) dat we de 2e dag besloten hebben om naar huis te gaan, ook in de wetenschap dat de 2 volgende dagen 39 graden voorspeld was en code rood ivm de hitte.

The cottage is situated in a wonderfully peaceful, green setting, surrounded by a very spacious garden featuring a naturally shaded patio, lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and a hot tub. The cottage itself is fully equipped, tastefully decorated, and very clean. You can hear the highway in the distant background, but we didn’t find it bothersome.
Unfortunately, our vacation was ruined by the extreme heat—something no one could have foreseen—and we ended up staying in the cottage for only 1 of the 3 nights we paid for; it was simply unbearable inside. This cottage should absolutely not be rented out without air conditioning—even though it’s a nature house—and the owner really needs to take action on this. For us, it was an expensive stay, and yes, it was our own choice, but for our health, it was the right decision.

Het huisje ligt heerlijk rustig in het groen, zeer ruime tuin er omheen met een natuurlijk overdekt zitterras, lounge ligstoelen, buitendouche en een hottub. Het huisje zelf is compleet en zeer sfeervol ingericht en is zeer netjes. Ver op de achtergrond hoor je de snelweg maar dat hebben wij niet als storend ervaren.
Helaas is onze vakantie bedorven door de extreme hitte, dat had niemand kunnen voorzien, we hebben uiteindelijk maar 1 van de 3 betaalde nachten van het huisje gebruik gemaakt , het was gewoon niet vol te houden in het huisje. Dit huisje mag je totaal niet verhuren zonder airco, ondanks dat het een natuurhuisje is, de eigenaar moet hier echt wel actie in ondernemen. Voor ons een duur verblijf , en ja, het is onze eigen keuze, maar qua gezondheid voor ons de juiste keuze.
