Cozy and idyllic cottage (85m2) in the woods of Drenthe. Equipped with all comforts (+Wifi). In the middle of one of the old forests of Northwest Drenthe is our cottage. A wonderful place to relax and refuel. Just a whole day reading in the garden or hanging out on the couch, or a nice walk in the woods and then extensive cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. And if you do feel like more action; the center of Norg with its many cafes and good restaurants is within walking distance and the cities of Assen (15KM) and Groningen (20KM) are nearby. Also for lovers of running and mountain biking, our cottage is a nice base. Because we are there a lot ourselves, we have decorated the cottage as we ourselves like to see it. The cottage is located on a dirt forest road on a generous 1,500m2 plot with large trees and shrubs and a nice sunny lawn. There are garden chairs in the barn, you can hang a hammock among the trees, and around the house are several seating areas. One of the sitting areas is sheltered on the north side of the house. Here you sit outside, but covered. Nice and cool in hot summers. And nice and dry when it rains. From the garden you can walk into the forest. This Oosterduinen forest consists of deciduous and coniferous trees and is over 100 years old. In part of the forest are houses, like ours, but a large part of the forest is also unspoiled nature reserve. Ideal for nice walks or running or mountain bike tours. The forest is connected to other forests and nature reserves of the Forestry Commission such as the Norgerholt or Fochtelooerveen. The chance of not encountering a woodpecker, owl, squirrel, hare or even roe deer during your stay in Norg is virtually zero.
