Nature and surroundings
Location:Hidden in the heart of the five-star Heuvellandschap lies the picturesque hamlet of Stokhem. It is one of the neighborhood communities of the municipality of Gulpen-Wittem.Around the hamlet meanders the small river Geul. Very suitable for people who love peace, nature and the outdoors. There are numerous walks plotted in the Geul valley.Environment:Within half an hour you are in the heart of burgundy Maastricht, the cozy Valkenburg or at the healing springs in Aachen. The activities and sights in the area are just too many to mention. Indicate where your interests lie and Giel and Myriam will inform you extensively what possibilities there are. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance in the villages of Wijlre, Gulpen and Schin op Geul. Besides the beautiful hiking trails you can also think of the numerous cycling or mountain biking routes. Think of Limburgs most beautiful, the Amstel Goldrace or the mergellandroute.
