Want to get away from it all and like to really go off grid, but still enjoy a little comfort? Welcome to our compact nature house on Steenbergerveld Estate in North Drenthe. From the cottage you are in direct contact with the woods of the estate. A lovely quiet spot from which you can walk straight into nature. The 2 person cottage is part of a larger barn and has its own driveway and entrance. The sitting area with kitchen and sliding doors to the countryside is open to the bedroom, equipped with a comfortable double bed. There is also a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Wifi available. Because the house is off grid, we ask our visitors to treat it with respect by e.g. taking short showers. Bed, bath and kitchen linen is included. Next to the nature house is the house of the owners, so the house is not completely solitary but it offers enough privacy. In consultation sauna use possible.
Nature and surroundings
Outside you can swing in the hanging chair or dream away on a sheepskin rug to the sound of rustling trees or the beautiful skies. The 10-hectare estate offers walking possibilities and tranquility but also beyond that nature extends further and you will come across beautiful fens, woods, heaths and dolmens. A few kilometers away are the villages of Roden and Norg with all amenities. Walking and cycling routes are numerous.
