Nature house in Elim

It was delicious.

Het was heerlijk.

It was really quiet and green, lots of space for myself.

Lovely place, peace, space and nature abound. Nice people, store with beautiful products from the beautiful vegetable garden. Fire is allowed! Lovely mattress in the tent.

Heerlijk plekje, rust, ruimte en natuur te over. Lieve mensen, winkeltje met mooie producten uit de prachtige moestuin. Fikkie stoken mag! Heerlijk matras in de tent.

This was truly a special camping experience but without the stress of bringing and setting up everything yourself. The sleeping tent is beautifully and luxuriously furnished, the beds are comfortable. There is an electric blanket (which you don't need in the summer but was very secretly nice) and lots of extra blankets and pillows. There are regular electrical outlets. The kitchen tent is also fully equipped: nothing is missing. The outdoor shower is fine and the composting toilet that is just in the same tent takes some getting used to, but is also completely fine. But mostly we spent a lot of time outside. Chilling in the hammock, at the picnic table, in the chairs and on our brought rug. We split wood, made fire, made food over the fire (the pancake package is also highly recommended), sharpened our own sticks for marshmallows. Back to basics but without missing a thing. We would love to come back again!

Dit was echt een bijzondere kampeerervaring maar dan zonder de stress van zelf alles meenemen en opzetten. De slaaptent is mooi en luxe ingericht, de bedden liggen lekker. Er is een elektrische deken (die je in de zomer niet nodig hebt maar die heel stiekem toch wel lekker was) en heel veel extra dekens en kussens. Er zijn gewoon stopcontacten. De keukentent is ook compleet ingericht: niks ontbreekt. De buitendouche is prima en de composttoilet die gewoon in dezelfde tent staat is even wennen, maar ook helemaal prima. Maar we zijn vooral veel buiten geweest. Lekker chillen in de hangmat, aan de picknicktafel, in de stoelen en op ons meegebrachte kleed. We hebben hout gekloofd, vuur gemaakt, eten gemaakt boven het vuur (het pannenkoekenarrangement is ook een aanrader), zelf stokken geslepen voor marshmallows. Back to basic maar dan zonder dat je iets hoeft te missen. We komen graag nog een keer terug!

The tents are in a quiet and secluded area in the garden so you have a lot of privacy. The horses have a lot of freedom and occasionally come walking by, very cozy! There is a nice lake nearby where you can bike with the bikes to borrow. Nearby you can make beautiful walks in the woods (bring anti-mosquito spray!) And along the meadows. Just not 5 stars because we very accidentally had chosen a weekend where there was motocross during the day and in the evening and at night loud music. So not very quiet for us, but I'm sure it's generally quiet:)

De tenten staan in in een rustig en afgelegen gebied in de tuin waardoor je veel privacy hebt. De paarden hebben veel vrijheid en komen af en toe langsgewandeld, heel gezellig! Er is een leuk meertje in de buurt waar je met de te lenen fietsen heen kan fietsen. In de omgeving kan je mooi wandelen in het bos (anti-muggenspray mee!) en langs de weilanden. Net geen 5 sterren omdat wij heeeel toevallig een weekend hadden uitgekozen waarop er overdag motorcross was en s' avonds en s' nachts harde muziek. Voor ons dus niet heel rustig, maar ik weet zeker dat het er over het algemeen wel rustig is:)
