On the Nieuw Rande estate, next to hotel Gaia, there is also the old porter's house. A beautiful detached house for 8 persons. The house, located between the forest edge and open fields, has four, double bedrooms, two bathrooms, three toilets, a cozy living room with pellet stove and a kitchen equipped with all necessities. At our nature house, enjoying nature is so done. Last month / October 2025 the entire floor on the second floor has been renewed! There has also been a thorough cleaning and there have been huge garden work, making the total much lighter and fresh again has become! The adjacent hotel and restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
Nature and surroundings
New Rande never bores. The estate is a popular starting point for cyclists and hikers. Various cycling and walking routes start there: the attraction is the country house where the sympathetic hotel/restaurant Gaia is housed. The outside is stately and chic, but behind that grandeur is a cheerful and colorful affair.Details Nieuw Rande is part of the much larger Keizersrande estate, a watery area along the floodplains above Deventer. You can fan out to Oud Rande (the "older brother" of Nieuw Rande) or the remnants of Smets Rande. The area has recently expanded to include Keizerswaarden, Stobbenwaarden and Natuurderij Keizersrande.
