Nature house in Mander

Our Nature House is located just steps away on the Dutch side of the border with Germany. It has an iconic facade and was built before 1900. Until the mid-1980s it was used as a customs building. Of course, it is now equipped with all modern conveniences. There are also adjustments for sustainability. The apartment you have is on the second floor and is called "Libelle". This is a studio with bedroom, living room and complete kitchen in one of 50m2. In addition, there is a spacious private bathroom of 10m2. We also offer a lockable room where you can charge your electric bike(s) for free. The Nature House is equipped with a septic tank instead of sewage. For this reason, we ask you to use the biodegradable products we offer as much as possible during your stay. It is not allowed to smoke inside the nature house. This is a non-contact stay with the landlord, except of course in case of particularities.

Several beautiful hiking trails are located in the area that also start at the Guesthouse. The routes take you along the beautiful mix of heather and forests of the Mandercirkels (also called circles of Jannink) or over the Galgenberg (Galgnbearg lateral moraine) which is considered an earth monument. On these routes you can see the rare moorland cows or with some luck, even the flying deer which is found only in a few places in the Netherlands. Also you can visit the dolmen of Mander or the Manderveense Aardbei. All this is located in or near the valley of the Mosbeek where you can also enjoy cycling towards surrounding villages such as Manderveen, Vasse, Tubbergen or of course Germany. For a snack or a drink you can go to Ria's eatery or one of the other fine restaurants in the area where you for dinner well in advance (about 2 weeks in advance) should book. You can do your shopping in Vasse or Tubbergen.
