Nature house in Castelre

Our guesthouse is an independent house located behind our monumental farmhouse from the year 1680. In the first half of 2022 we have been busy converting this house into a comfortable guesthouse. It now includes a spacious living room with a luxury kitchen, a very spacious bathroom with a nice walk-in shower and 2 cozy bedrooms upstairs. Our beautiful 1-acre garden includes an orchard, a vegetable garden, a beautiful natural pond with a beach, a covered terrace and several other cozy seating areas. Furthermore, in the garden there is the residence for our 2 donkeys Sara and Roosje. The chickens roam freely in the yard and garden during the day. Our guests are allowed to use the whole garden!

Our farm is located in Castelré and is part of hamlet the Groeske with its original Frankish triangle. Castelré is a Dutch enclave bordered on all sides by Belgium. So you can safely say that Castelré is the most beautiful part of the Netherlands in Belgium. Scenically, its location is unique. Both south, west and north, the border with Belgium is largely formed by streams and rivers; the Hollandse loop, the Mark and the Merkske. The edges of Castelré therefore consist of stream valleys. In the middle of them is a beautiful bulb of arable land. Due to its unique location, our guesthouse is a fantastic place for hikers and cyclists. Just a few kilometers away is the city of Hoogstraten, known for its many burgundian restaurants and terraces.
