Our nature house is an authentically built log cabin and accommodates 2 people. It has a warm and cozy atmosphere, thanks in part to the natural materials used in its construction. The living/sleeping area features a two-seater sofa and a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m). The sleeping area can be separated from the living area by a curtain. It’s a nice, neat, clean place. Everything you need is there. There are a lot of flies, though—but that’s to be expected.
The surroundings are nice, too. We did the blue hiking trail in “De Zwarte Dennen” while the heather was still just in bloom. Very beautiful. And the bike route to Meppel was also easy to do and scenic. The stork sanctuary was especially nice to see.Het is een fijn, nette, schone plek. Alles is aanwezig. Wel veel vliegen maar dat kan ook niet anders.
De omgeving is ook fijn. We hebben de blauwe wandelroute in 'de zwarte dennen' gedaan terwijl de heide nog net in bloei stond. Erg mooi. En fietsroute naar Meppel was ook goed te doen en mooi. Vooral ook de ooievaarsplaats was leuk om te zien.It was a wonderful stay. Every now and then you hear the neighbors or a car driving by, but overall it’s very peaceful and quiet. And nature is just such lovely “slow TV.” We could spend hours watching and listening to the stork in its nest, the cows, and the horses. It was especially nice from the hot tub or the sauna.
