This mill by the water in the North of Portugal was built in the early 19th and helped our family turn a lot of grain into flour. It was a place of work, but as time went on it became a special place for family gatherings and celebrations.It was exquisitely restored using selected local materials by Arménio Martins who applied his experience of over thirty years, as a designer, artist and master brewer to offer a unique experience. Here you will be immersed by the soothing sound of the water streaming by, wake up to the singing birds and fall asleep to the coziness of a crackling fire and a starry night. It is a unique getaway that I am sure you will love. The mill is equipped with everything you could wish for. If you are lucky you may enjoy a special beer made with all local hops and ingredients to enjoy the setting sun. Nature is all around you, you will be able to relax by the waterfall, jump into a revitalizing natural creek and sunbathe on the deck enjoying a nice glass of wine. There is an Outside Kitchen with everything you can possibly need. Around the Area are all kinds of Activities. The Ecopark Azibo is just 20 minutes away and a perfect getaway to enjoy some beach and swimming. Podence and the Unesco carnival of "caretos", Montesinho Natural park, Bragança and Miranda do Douro, the stone carvings of Foz Côa and Rio de Onor who won most beautiful village in portugal are all nearby. This whole region is a Geopark and In Vinhais you have the biological park with local fauna. Mirandela is known for their "alheiras". There is a museum in the castle in Bragança that is quite interesting to know more about the history of the land as well as the Iberian museum of masks and costumes. Cabanas, Bouzende, Edroso, Negreda - (waterfall) are all small vilages nearby that could be fun to visit.
