This nature house is a small guesthouse located on the property next to the hosts’ home. The house has its own entrance and is nestled next to a small grove. It features a large private terrace and a natural swimming pool. You’re welcome to use the Swedish wood-fired sauna as long as the wind isn’t blowing toward our thatched-roof house. Our donkeys, Heissa and Francien, love some attention...Towels, kitchen towels, and bed linens are provided in the cottage. Parking in front of the cottage is easily available.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located on the Maarten van Rossumpad. In the hilly forest near Balkbrug, there is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, which was voted the Netherlands’ most beautiful swimming pool in 2018. The cottage is situated between two nature reserves: the Staphorsterbos on one side and the beautiful Reestdal on the other. The Reestdal lies on the border between the provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel. Surrounding the Reest, a small border river, lies a centuries-old stream valley with a character all its own. Had a very nice stay
Heel erg fijn verblijf gehad
We spent a very nice Pentecost weekend at Corrie and Pete's cottage. The cottage is very clean and complete. The sauna and swimming pond were the icing on the cake.
