Nature house in Zuidlaren

This cozy, charming wooden vacation home, with a garden of approximately 500 m2, is located in a small, green recreational park on the outskirts of the village of Zuidlaren. The cottage is situated in a unique location: atop a hill and in the middle of the forest. Thanks to this location and the park’s spacious layout, you can fully enjoy nature, peace, and privacy here! Layout: the living room/kitchen features French doors leading to the sun-drenched, covered terrace. From the living room, you enter the hallway, which leads to the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The first bedroom has a double bed (140 x 200 cm), and the second bedroom has a built-in closet and a bunk bed (2 x 90 x 190 cm). Behind the cottage, you’ll find a bike shed with two bikes that you can use for free during your stay. Internet access is available via MiFi (works with prepaid credit). Bed, bath, and kitchen linens are not included. A washing machine is available; a crib and high chair are available upon request.

This beautiful, spacious, and wooded park is located in the heart of the Drentsche Aa National Park. This Natura 2000 area is the best-preserved stream and maple landscape in Western Europe. Here, you can enjoy wonderful walks and bike rides through the woods, along the heathlands, and along the many tributaries of the Drentsche Aa stream. The beautiful Zuidlaardermeer is also just around the corner, less than 4 km away by bike. The Zuidlaardermeer is a paradise for birds and birdwatchers alike, where unique species such as the white-tailed eagle and the white-cheeked tern nest. The Zuidlaardermeer area can be explored on foot or by bike, but you can also take a boat tour or rent a boat yourself. Swimming in the Zuidlaardermeer is also an option. And then there’s the village of Zuidlaren, known for Berend Botje and the Zuidlaarder Market. The incredibly charming village center, with a wide selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants, is just a 5-minute bike ride from the cottage.
