Very cozy living/kitchen/sleeping area with high beamed ceiling and fine dimmable mood lighting. The kitchen with a solid oak tree trunk top includes combi oven, fridge freezer, induction hob, kettle and Nespresso machine. Tea and kitchen towels are provided. In the same room there is a TV and a 2-person box spring with fine bedding. The luxurious bathroom has underfloor heating, a rain and hand shower and luxury bath towels from Rituals. The cottage is located in the front yard, near but separate from the main house. It has a private driveway for the car, storage for bikes incl electricity, terrace with possible use of BBQ. Wifi available. Camping cot for baby / toddler is available (free on request).
Nature and surroundings
Opposite the cottage you walk straight into the forest and within 5 minutes you are on one of the Netherlands' largest sand drifts, surrounded by forest and heath. In the forest and along the cottage are several (long distance) hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes. Spot deer, badgers and foxes. A riding school is nearby with an extensive network of bridle paths. Within walking distance is the outdoor theater Cabrio and Palz estate with the Herman van Veen Arts Center. The cottage is clean and nicely decorated, but is a bit dark. Terrace in front of the cottage is quite small due to the trampoline dug in and you have a direct view of the owners' house. This is going to change in the future, which is a plus.
