Nature house in Gellik

A nice little house and not too expensive.

Prima huisje en niet te duur.

Wonderfully peaceful and set in beautiful surroundings.

Heerlijk rustig en in een prachtige omgeving.

The cottage is clean and cozy; the couch isn’t super comfortable but is more comfortable than the picture suggests, and there’s also a comfortable chair. The beds are fantastic!
The cottage has a somewhat unusual layout, with a curtain between the master bedroom and the bathroom instead of a door, but that’s for accessibility reasons for people who can’t use their legs (there’s a hoist between the bedroom and the bathroom). Furthermore, everything is accessible to wheelchair users.

Het huisje is schoon en gezellig, de bank is niet hyper comfortabel maar comfortabeler dan het plaatje suggereert en er is ook nog een gemakkelijke stoel. De bedden zijn fantastisch!
Het huisje heeft een wat ongebruikelijke inrichting met een gordijn tussen de volwassenen-slaapkamer en de badkamer, ipv een deur, maar dat is vanwege de toegankelijkheid voor mensen die hun benen niet kunnen gebruiken (er is een tillift tussen slaapkamer en badkamer). Verder is ook alles toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers.

The cottage has a beautiful garden, lush and green, along a quiet road with the forest beginning right behind it. Just a stone’s throw away is the first trail leading into the forest. And it’s not just a small patch of forest—it goes on and on. Birds are singing everywhere. The cottage is located in a quiet park (on the edge of it) where everyone leaves each other alone, and you can’t see into each other’s yards.

Het huisje heeft een prachtige tuin, weelderig groen, langs een rustige weg waarachter direct het bos begint. Op een steenworp afstand ligt het eerste pad waarmee je het bos ook in kan. Het is ook geen plukje bos, het gaat maar door. Overal fluitende vogels. Het huisje ligt in een rustig park (aan de rand ervan) waar iedereen elkaar met rust laat en je kan ook niet bij elkaar naar binnen kijken.

The interior of the cottage is basic, kitchen does have everything you need. We found the upper bed not very stable and therefore did not use it. The bathroom between 2 bedrooms with curtain is not ideal if you are with several people, but for family with children fine.

De inrichting van het huisje is basis, keuken heeft wel alles wat je nodig hebt. Het bovenbed vonden wij niet heel stabiel en hebben het daardoor niet gebruikt. De badkamer tussen 2 slaapkamers in met gordijn is niet ideaal als je met meerdere personen bent, maar voor gezin met kinderen prima.

The cottage is beautifully situated in the woods. You can enjoy cycling and hiking. The garden is large with 2 nice terraces and fine BBQ. Especially ideal for the summer. We had a very nice time there.

Het huisje is prachtig gelegen in de bossen. Je kan er heerlijk fietsen en wandelen. De tuin is groot met 2 mooie terrassen en fijne BBQ. Met name ideaal voor de zomerperiode. Wij hebben er een erg fijne tijd gehad.
