The Treehouse is ruggedly decorated with raw, natural materials and surprising accents. Dreams come true here—after all, who hasn’t dreamed of sleeping in a treehouse at least once?

The estate: Drenthe’s best-kept secret! Hidden among the majestic beech, oak, and pine trees, a forest path leads you to a beautiful and surprising open space. In the center lies a lovely pond with two small islands. Right next to the campground is our own stunning Börkerheide. Here you’ll find the peace and space that make the estate such a wonderful vacation spot. The kids can have a blast. Climbing trees, building huts from branches in the forest, searching for the “white women” on the heath—and of course, there are a few playground structures and a bouncy castle. Or they can head to the pool in the woods next to the campground. This is available free of charge to all our guests (the pool is open from approximately April 1 through September 1).From the estate, you can walk straight into the beautiful Drenthe countryside. And yet, the charming town of Westerbork is only about 1 km away. There you’ll find the lively atmosphere of restaurants, outdoor cafés, and cute shops, as well as supermarkets, bakeries, and cafeterias.

We stayed in the "De Den" treehouse. It was a really fun experience—luxury camping high up in the trees. The cabin was fully equipped with all the amenities.
One suggestion we’d like to offer is to add some curtains in the living room and reading lamps by the bed. We were also very happy that we were able to get in touch via email very quickly when we accidentally locked ourselves out. The problem was resolved quickly. But it might be helpful to include some kind of emergency contact number. Other than that, we highly recommend staying here.
