This Ecohouse is a beautiful example of unique design and a joint project of two daughters who both live in the Netherlands and helped their mother build this dream house. Here you can work, relax and enjoy a wooden sauna and jacuzzi*. The house was designed by Dutch art director Chaim Kwakman and completely self-built by Latvian artist and your host, Daina. This optical-illusion house is the perfect place to enjoy nature, visit local restaurants and the eco vegetable market. It is located in Daina's large garden, less than a 3-minute walk from the seashore. You have the entire house at your disposal, including a small outdoor area in the garden. Bike and BBQ rentals are available (price on request) and can be used at any time *price on request
Nature and surroundings
The small house is located in a large garden and another rental house and the landlord's house on the other side of the garden. You only share the entrance gate in the garden. It is possible to park a car for free.Upon arrival, Daina will provide you with a beautiful, homemade booklet in which her daughters have collected all the fantastic places to see in the region. We recommend coming by car so you can take little road trips along the coastline and see as much of the area as possible. But even if you come by train, there is plenty to explore. Both the sauna and jacuzzi run on solar energy: it is an investment in ecotourism that Daina and her daughters wanted to make, which is why we charge an extra fee for using these facilities. But believe us, every second is worth it and you will definitely enjoy it :)

Nature, peace & environment:The cottage is in the garden of a house in a residential neighborhood ("the Wassenaar" of Riga). So you hear noises from other gardens. Beautiful beach within walking distance. Riga fine with public transport. Nice hostess.
