A unique experience on a tiny houseboat! This cozy houseboat is located in the lively waters of the Zaan, between the reeds. When boats pass by or in strong winds, you feel you are on the water, rocking along with the waves. From your private deck you can fish, take a refreshing dip, kayak or just enjoy the nature around you. Inside you will find a cozy living room, a bathroom with shower stall and toilet, and a compact kitchen with everything you need: a 2-burner stove, a refrigerator with small freezer compartment, a mini-oven for fresh sandwiches, and a NESPRESSO coffee machine. The houseboat has two bedrooms, where you can fall asleep with the lapping water in the background. Outside there is a nice garden with a hammock to relax in, and a Petromax BBQ.The houseboat remains docked at the jetty during your stay and is not suitable for small children.INCL: bed linen, kitchen linen, toilet paper
Nature and surroundings
Oostknollendam is located on the Zaan, bordering the Wormer- and Jisperveld nature reserve. Within walking distance you will find Kajakcentrum Arjan Bloem (sup/kajak rental). A little further on you will find Bezoekerscentrum De Poelboerderij where regular boat excursions are held through the beautiful Wormer & Jisperveld. In the summer there is a kayak (free) at the houseboat with which you can explore the Zaan or kayak through the beautiful Jisperveld. On request we place a raft for fishermen from which you can fish. Please note that fishing for consumption is not allowed, because our facilities are not suitable for that. The houseboat is close to several cycling and hiking hubs, including the Trekvogelpad. Beach, sea, dunes about an hour by bike. Wormerveer NS railway station is 3.1 km from our address. Amsterdam and Alkmaar are about 20 km from our address. OOSTKNOLLENDAM IS LOCATED UNDER THE SMOKE OF SCHIPHOL AIRPORT.
