Fishing Sailing Canoeing Bird watching Cycling Hiking

This cozy tiny houseboat is situated on the lively waters of the Zaan, nestled among the reeds. When boats pass by or when the wind picks up, you can really feel that you’re on the water—you ROCK along with the waves. From your private deck, you can go for a swim or just relax and enjoy the view. Inside, you’ll find a cozy living room, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a compact kitchen with a 2-burner stovetop, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, a mini-oven for fresh rolls, and a NESPRESSO coffee machine. The houseboat is equipped for 2 people. It has two bedrooms. INCLUDED: bed linens, kitchen linens, and toilet paper. Outside, there’s a lovely garden with a hammock for relaxing and a Petromax BBQ. The houseboat remains moored at the dock during your stay and is not suitable for small children. A fishing raft is available for rent at a cost of €10 per day; it can only be booked for the entire stay. We kindly ask that you do NOT allow any additional guests to stay overnight.

Nature and surroundings

Oostknollendam is located on the Zaan River, bordering the Wormer- and Jisperveld nature reserve. Within walking distance, you’ll find the De Poelboerderij Visitor Center, where boat tours are regularly held through the beautiful Wormer & Jisperveld (Tip: book in advance). In the summer, there’s a kayak available at the houseboat that you can use to explore the Zaan River or paddle through the beautiful Jisperveld. The houseboat is located near several cycling and hiking trail junctions, including the Trekvogelpad. The beach, sea, and dunes are about an hour’s bike ride away. The Wormerveer train station is 3.1 km from our address. Amsterdam and Alkmaar are approximately 20 km away from us. Oostknollendam is located in the Schiphol Airport region, so you may occasionally hear airplanes.
