We have transformed our over 300 year old wagon barn into a romantic B&B accommodation for 2 persons. The cozy living room of ca.30m2 overlooks the yard on which the old haystack roof of the farm stands (1720 national monument). Living room with sofa in front of the TV and a breakfast and coffee table. Spacious bathroom with bathtub, walk-in shower, toilet and sinks on the ground floor. A staircase leads to the attic bedroom with double box spring bed. On your private terrace you can enjoy breakfast in the early morning sun. And at sunset drink a glass of wine at your own seat along the water. Free parking. Bicycles can be covered and loaded in our "Old Calf Stable". Incl. organic coffee (Nespresso) and tea, vegan bath and shower products. There is an extensive breakfast menu. Fresh and local (organic) products are prepared for you daily with love. Breakfast is optional
Nature and surroundings
Our B&Bs and recreation house are located on the 5500 m2 grounds of a beautiful farm dating from 1720 and almost entirely surrounded by water located in the Worldwide unique stroke landscape. In our yard, our dog, chickens and moose walk around freely. The sheep are behind a fence. In the landscape many (water) birds and hares can be spotted. The monumental building is one of the oldest farms on this road. Those who drive up the cast-iron drawbridge imagine themselves back in time. One old farmhouse after another leads you along the rural area which turns into a silence area. The farming landscape in Krimpenerwaard offers tranquility, beautiful nature and many opportunities for walking, boating or cycling. But the possibility of the hustle and bustle and sociability in the nearby historic town of Gouda (5 km) is also a nice change. Gouda and many other picturesque villages and towns offer plenty of nice hospitality and cosiness.
