We wanted to spend 24 hours "celebrating life" with the four of us. And we succeeded. First we had a lovely walk in the vast forests and on the Holtenberg, and lunch in Holten, then checked into this lovely cottage and 'toasted' in the jacuzzi. What a place! What peace and quiet! Once showered (the bathroom is not large, but totally fine, especially for such a short stay) deliciously cooked in the well-equipped kitchen and eaten with much laughter in the small, but cozy living room. Also nice that there were already tea lights in the candlesticks: candles lit, game on the table, immediately cozy until late in the evening. Slept well in the fine beds. Finished with a top breakfast and then through the beautiful nature of Salland back home. Yes, this is how life should be. And this nature house? We'll just book it again next year. But then a little longer.
Wij wilden 24 uur lang 'het leven gaan vieren' met zijn vieren. En dat is gelukt. Eerst heerlijk gewandeld in de uitgestrekte bossen en op de Holtenberg, en geluncht in Holten, daarna ingecheckt in dit heerlijke huisje en 'geproost' in de jacuzzi. Wat een plek! Wat een rust! Eenmaal gedoucht (de badkamer is niet groot, maar wel helemaal prima, vooral voor zo'n kort verblijf) heerlijk gekookt in de prima geoutilleerde keuken en met veel lachen gegeten in de kleine, maar gezellige woonkamer. Leuk ook dat er al theelichtjes in de kandelaars zaten: kaarsjes aan, spelletje op tafel, meteen knus tot laat in de avond. Lekker geslapen in de fijne bedden. Afgesloten met een topontbijtje en daarna door de prachtige natuur van Salland weer richting huis. Ja, zo mag het leven wel zijn. En dit natuurhuisje? Dat gaan we volgend jaar gewoon wéér boeken. Maar dan iets langer.
